MEMS Sensors 2025 Market Forecast

MEMS sensors are the core of smart sensors. MEMS, known as MicroElectroMechanicalSystem, is a miniature device or system that utilizes semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials to integrate sensors, actuators, mechanical mechanisms, signal processing and control circuits into a single device or system with an internal structure that is generally in the micron or even nanometer scale. Compared with traditional sensors, MEMS sensors have the advantages of small size, light weight, low cost, low power consumption, high reliability, suitable for mass production, easy integration and intelligence.

Common categories of MEMS sensors include accelerometers, high-precision pressure sensors, multi-axis gyroscopes, silicon microphones, oscillators, energy harvesters, RF sensors, high-sensitivity gas sensors, electronic compasses, etc. The classification of MEMS sensors is shown in the figure below:

According to the data statistics and forecasts of SEDI Consultants, China’s MEMS market is expected to reach 157.13 billion yuan by 2025, with a CAGR of 17.0% from 2022 to 2025.
